Project Progress Update: Construction Advancing on Nanuel’s Investment Agricultural Storage Facility

Work is steadily progressing on the Nanuel’s Investment Agricultural Storage Facility located in Blama Town, Small Bo Chiefdom, Kenema District. Following the successful groundbreaking ceremony earlier this year, construction activities have now moved into the active development stage as the project begins to take visible shape on site.

The facility is being developed as a modern agricultural warehouse with a storage capacity of approximately 15,000 metric tons, equivalent to about 300,000 standard bags of produce. Once completed, the warehouse will serve as a central aggregation and storage hub designed to significantly reduce post-harvest losses while strengthening the region’s food security system.

Current work on the project includes site preparation and foundational construction, which are essential stages in establishing a durable and efficient storage infrastructure. These early developments mark an important step toward delivering a facility capable of supporting large-scale agricultural storage and logistics operations within the district.

In addition to its primary storage function, the project is being designed as a multifunctional agricultural resource center. The facility will provide farmers in Kenema District and surrounding areas with improved access to structured markets and reliable storage services. By enabling farmers to safely store their produce and aggregate supplies, the project is expected to support better price stability and improved market participation.

The development is also expected to stimulate additional agri-business activities, including produce handling, transportation, packaging, and trade services. These activities will contribute to strengthening the broader agricultural value chain while creating new economic opportunities for local communities.

Nanuel’s Investment remains committed to advancing infrastructure projects that support sustainable agricultural growth, food security, and community development. Further updates on the progress of the project will be shared as construction continues.
